In 2010, Wistron established a green resources business which officially began operations in 2013 to provided cradle-to-cradle green services with closed-loop recycling solutions. Using the concept of sustainable product design and development that combines product lifecycle and the circular economy, we are committed to lowering the impact of products on the environment and creating sustainable value.

Wistron is highly dedicated to the development and application of Clean Technology, considering cleantech as a strategic focus for the company. In 2022, Wistron established AiSails Power Inc. and in collaboration with Taiwan Power Company, introduced Germany's Airborne Wind Energy (AWE) technology. By 2024, two airborne wind energy devices are expected to be introduced and tested for two years at Taiwan Power Company's Changhua Solar Power Plant. This initiative seeks to explore emerging green energy solutions and collectively strive towards the goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions in power generation by 2050.
