ERSCP, Brno be Ready Project

Wistron Czech (WCZ) has long demonstrated its commitment to sustainability not only within its own operations, but also through active collaboration with public institutions and local government. A strong example of linking international activities with local initiatives is its partnership with the City of Brno within the “Brno be Ready” project, in which WCZ has been involved since 2023. This partnership shows how cooperation between the private sector and municipal authorities can deliver concrete and measurable benefits for both residents and the environment.

At the international level, WCZ has been actively engaged in discussions on sustainable business and the circular economy. Company representatives participated in the 22nd edition of the ERSCP (European Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production) conference, where they presented their experience in integrating reuse principles into business strategy, as well as practical aspects of ESG reporting in the manufacturing sector. By sharing real-life examples and insights into overcoming operational challenges, WCZ contributed to a two-way dialogue between the private and public sectors and supported the exchange of best practices.



Wistron’s global ESG activities are reflected in its local projects in Brno. After receiving Silver recognition for Brno be Ready in 2024, WCZ continued to develop its activities across all areas defined by Brno sustainability memorandum - Buildings, Energy, Transportation, Water, Greenery, People, Business, and Promotion. By comprehensively fulfilling all requirements, the company was awarded Gold Partner status in 2025, reflecting both the tangible results of its initiatives and its long-term commitment.

Implemented initiatives include the deployment of technologies to improve energy efficiency, projects supporting the circular use of materials, development of electromobility infrastructure, improvements in water management, and support for biodiversity through green planting. The company also invests in digital solutions, such as artificial intelligence systems to enhance product quality control and intelligent workplace safety systems. In the area of human resources, WCZ delivers awareness and educational programs for employees and the wider community, supports volunteering, and collaborates with schools and local organizations.
