WMX’s Collective Marriages: Building Families, Strengthening Community

At Wistron Mexico (WMX), our Collective Marriages event was born from a simple but powerful idea: to celebrate commitment and strengthen family foundations for the people who make our company thrive. What began as a small, heartfelt initiative to support employees who wanted to formalize their unions has grown into a signature WMX tradition—an inclusive, community-centered celebration that removes financial, logistical, and administrative barriers so couples can mark their commitment with dignity and joy. This event was promoted three weeks before February 13th and 44 couples got married. The story of Collective Marriages is first and foremost a story about people: colleagues who share workdays, responsibilities, and hopes for the future, and a company that chooses to stand beside them at a pivotal life moment. The initiative is designed to be both practical and ceremonial. WMX coordinates with local civil registry offices and community organizations to provide on-site legal registration, simplified paperwork assistance, and access to official certificates. On the day of the event we provide a warm, festive setting—ceremonies that respect diverse cultural traditions, professional officiants, childcare during proceedings, and group receptions that bring together families, co-workers, and neighbors. By covering administrative fees, offering logistical support, and creating a respectful space for celebration, WMX removes obstacles that might otherwise prevent couples from formalizing their relationships.

Collective Marriages has a tangible social impact in our WMX community and the broader region. For employees, legal recognition of their union can improve access to health benefits, social security entitlements, and family leave protections—concrete gains that strengthen household stability and well-being. The event fosters emotional security by publicly recognizing relationships and creating shared social rituals that deepen ties among coworkers and their families. Families feel supported; employees feel seen; and morale, loyalty, and a sense of belonging to the WMX community are reinforced.

Central to Collective Marriages is a commitment to equity and inclusion. The program is open to all employees and their partners—regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, economic background, or cultural tradition—ensuring that no one is excluded from the opportunity to formalize their relationship.
