Building Sustainable Resilience, Deepening the Low-Carbon Transition - Wistron Releases 2024 Sustainability Report

Wistron Corporation (TPE: 3231) has officially released its "2024 Sustainability Report." The report details Wistron's commitments and outstanding practices across four major dimensions: Environment, Social, Governance, and Innovation (ESGI). To strengthen corporate resilience and to demonstrate the company’s sustainability values, Wistron focuses on six key sustainability strategies: "Sustainable supply base," "Green products," "Recycling," "Decarbonization," "People with purpose," and "Labor welfare." In the face of a rapidly evolving global landscape, these strategies not only reflect Wistron’s vision “Sustainability through Innovation” but are also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), laying out a clear blueprint for the company’s long-term growth.
Highlights of Sustainability Achievements:

Proactive Response to Climate Change:
Wistron has set a net-zero pathway validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), committing to achieving carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 by 2030, and net-zero emissions across its value chain (including Scope 3) by 2050. In 2024, its global renewable electricity usage reached 74.7%.
-
Promoting Green Innovation and a Circular Economy:
In green products, Wistron continues to increase the use of sustainable materials, with a goal to raise the proportion of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics in specific products to over 50% by 2030. The company is also dedicated to developing next-generation low-carbon products, embedding circular economy principles from the design stage.
-
Building a Resilient and Sustainable Supply Chain:
Wistron recognizes the importance of its supply chain partners. Through rigorous supplier sustainability evaluation mechanisms and capacity-building programs, it requires key suppliers to obtain international certifications such as ISO 14064 and ISO 50001, collectively building a responsible and resilient supply chain.
