The S&P Dow Jones Indices, the world's leading index provider, recently announced the 2024 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) component list. In the Computers, Peripherals, and Office Electronics industry category, Wistron excelled with the highest global score in the industry, earning its place in both the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index. This achievement once again underscores Wistron's exceptional sustainability performance on the international stage.
Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) is the world's first global sustainability benchmark series. The index family includes global, regional, and national benchmarks. Each year, over 13,000 companies worldwide are invited to participate in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), but only about 3,500 qualify for inclusion in the DJSI. The CSA evaluates companies using approximately 1,000 data points across environmental, social, governance, and economic dimensions to derive a CSA score. Known for its rigor and authority, the CSA is a leading standard in sustainability assessments.
This year, Wistron achieved industry-leading scores in both the Governance & Economic and Environmental dimensions, with an overall score of 90 — the highest in the global sector. These results highlight Wistron's unwavering commitment and efforts across all ESG dimensions, earning the world’s recognition.
Carrying the expectations of stakeholders, Wistron remains steadfast on the path of sustainable transformation. The company continues to expand its influence, fulfilling its vision of “sustainability through innovation”. Wistron is committed to becoming a sustainability leader that fosters pride among its employees and maximizes positive value for society.
