Wistron Receives Top Honors from Two Major International Sustainability Assessment Organizations
According to the recently released S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025, Wistron has been selected for the fourth consecutive year and received the exclusive top 1% ranking in the Computers & Peripherals and Office Electronics Industry globally.
Additionally, in the 2024 environmental assessment questionnaire results released by CDP, a global environmental information disclosure platform run by a non-profit organization, Wistron stood out from over 20,000 companies worldwide. It received the highest honor of being selected for the A-List in both "Climate Change" and "Water Security" key environmental issues, demonstrating Wistron's strong commitment to environmental sustainability and exceptional performance.
The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook conducts comprehensive assessments of sustainability performance based on the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). In the 2024 evaluation, over 7,690 eligible companies worldwide were considered, with 780 making it into the Sustainability Yearbook, and only 66 achieving the distinction of ranking in the top 1%. Emerging successfully from this intense global competition demonstrates that Wistron's performance in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) dimensions is on par with leading benchmark companies, steadily advancing towards sustainable development.
CDP is one of the largest global platforms for environmental information disclosure. Currently, more than 700 investors (representing over $142 trillion in assets) and over 330 key purchasers (with a total purchasing power of $6.4 trillion) request companies to disclose information through CDP. Wistron fulfills its responsibility as a global corporate citizen by responding to stakeholder expectations and consistently disclosing environmental information through CDP, enhancing climate governance and transparency, and striving for a balance between development and ecology. In the 2024 climate change and water security questionnaires, Wistron achieved leadership-level disclosure scores in 22 out of 27 evaluation aspects, demonstrating its recognized efforts in climate governance and water resource management.
ESG Integration: Advancing "Sustainability through Innovation"
On the road to sustainability, improving sustainability performance across all aspects of our operations is our unwavering goal. In terms of environment and governance, we follow science-based targets (SBT), aiming to achieve carbon neutrality in Scopes 1 and 2 by 2030 and net-zero in Scope 3 by 2050. Internally, we have implemented a decarbonization target management platform to digitally and intelligently manage photovoltaic usage, green electricity and certificate procurement, energy saving, and both direct and indirect emissions, seeking the best carbon reduction solutions while balancing costs and benefits. Externally, we actively collaborate with the entire supply chain to promote low-carbon transformation goals, incorporating sustainability concepts into procurement decisions through three sustainable supply chain development strategies: "optimizing the core competitiveness of strategic suppliers," "deepening regional strategic cooperation," and "enhancing supply chain sustainability resilience," to drive sustainable transformation.
On the social front, Wistron, with a presence in 24 countries and regions worldwide, is committed to fostering a cross-cultural collaboration and inclusive workplace culture internally. In 2024, we established our first ERG (Employee Resource Group), "Women in Wistron (WIW)," to provide a platform for connection and support for our female colleagues. Through various exchange activities, online seminars, and promotional courses, we continue to explore the immense potential of the tech industry to enhance gender diversity and inclusivity.
Moving towards a corporate vision of "Sustainability through Innovation," Wistron will continue to optimize its corporate structure, enhance operational resilience, and exert its influence to create positive value for society.
