Leading Sustainability: Wistron Achieves Top Honors at CommonWealth Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Awards

This year, Wistron was honored with first place in the manufacturing sector for large enterprises at the “Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Awards” organized by CommonWealth Magazine.

This prestigious recognition reflects Wistron's leadership in four key evaluation areas: environmental sustainability, corporate commitment, social involvement, and corporate governance. Moreover, it highlights the effectiveness of our efforts over the years in driving sustainable transformation, creating value beyond financial statements, and generating a positive impact on both the environment and society.

Technological advancement plays a critical role in future development. We firmly believe that corporations have a responsibility to ensure that technological progress does not come at the expense of the environment or human well-being. Therefore, we have expanded our sustainability influence from operational scope to the value chain to achieve the long-term goal of Net Positive impact. Wistron avoids operational activities that harm biodiversity through risk assessment and management measures. Our manufacturing process incorporates AI and environmentally friendly technologies to reduce pollution and carbon emissions, thereby minimizing environmental impacts. Externally, we have launched an improved forest management (IFM) project aimed at leading more enterprises and sectors to invest in nature-based solutions through cross-industry collaboration. We have set and received official validation for our Science-Based Targets (SBT) to achieve a Net-zero value chain by 2050 and contribute to Nature Positive outcomes. Additionally, we have established behavioral guidelines for our suppliers related to biodiversity and deforestation, including the protection of ecosystems and the prohibition of deforestation. We aspire for Wistron and our entire industry value chain to coexist harmoniously with the environment.
