The establishment of the Vietnam site marks an important milestone for Wistron’s overseas operations. However, language and cultural barriers become an obstacle to the communication with local employees. To overcome this, the Company launched Mandarin and Vietnamese training initiatives, providing basic courses for beginners and more advanced classes for those who want to further develop. By enhancing cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills, these programs helped our employees communicate more effectively in both Mandarin and Vietnamese, ensuring smoother operations.

Wistron Vietnam Site:【Learning Hero Scoreboard】
SDGs
In the classroom, students have the chance to engage and exchange ideas. Beyond basic pronunciation and grammar lessons, the concept of a flipped classroom has been put into practice to fast-track language acquisition. By hosting diverse language corners, learning is transferred to real-world settings such as meetings, supermarkets, and coffee shops, simulating various communication scenarios. On top of all that, a scoreboard named “Learning Hero Board” has been set up to monitor student progress while displaying a ranking to trigger acknowledgement and competition. Online check-in activities are also held together with practice games for listening, speaking, reading, and writing, earning the participants points redeemable for rewards.
Various cultural exchange events incorporate knowledge with traditional festivals like the Vietnamese Kings' Commemoration Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, teaching participants how to adapt to different cultural and linguistic norms and apply their learned skills for effective communication. Karaoke contests further diversify language learning methods, making the process more enjoyable.
