On 21st November 2024, Wistron Technology (Malaysia) proudly participated in a collaborative community health initiative organized by the Malaysian Ministry of Health and Westport Malaysia. The event featured 76 companies, public health experts, and local government officials, with leaders from the Klang Municipal Health Office and the Port Klang Health Office to foster community-wide collaboration. Wistron Malaysia was invited by the Malaysian Ministry of Health to deliver a presentation on Wistron’s dengue prevention measures and shared control strategies both internally and externally. These included mosquito breeding source control, staff awareness campaigns, and proactive environmental hygiene practices. These efforts were recognized as a model for workplace-driven public health contributions. Additionally, a gratitude luncheon was held to honor the various stakeholders who actively support dengue prevention efforts across multiple sectors.
In addition to the expert forum, an interactive dengue awareness and prevention booth was organized by the Ministry of Health, with support from industry partners such as Eventus and Rentokil. The booth provided hands-on education to the community on mosquito behavior, Aedes aegypti breeding cycles, and practical tips for eliminating mosquito habitats at home. It empowered attendees to take simple yet effective actions in their neighborhoods.
