Wistron Zhongshan’s Community Partnership Program – “Together with Care”

Working Hand in Hand with Community Partners to Bring Sustainability into Everyday Life

Sustainability has always been at the heart of Wistron’s business philosophy. The company believes that only by integrating sustainable thinking into daily decisions and actions can long-term value be created for both business and society. In recent years, Wistron has continued to advance its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives, not only within its operations but also by actively responding to local community needs and building stronger, trust-based partnerships with the communities where it operates.

In support of Zhongshan City's “High-Quality Development Initiative for Counties, Towns, and Villages,” Wistron South China Sites formally signed a partnership agreement with Zhangwu Community in Zhongshan Torch Development Zone, launching the “Together with Care” project under its Community Partnership Program. Beginning with listening and understanding community needs, the initiative integrates resources from the company, local government, and the community to promote community enhancement and inclusive development. Through this collaboration, Wistron transforms its sustainability commitment into meaningful actions that create a positive impact at the local level.

 

Listening to Needs, Bringing Care into Everyday Life

Since 2024, Wistron South China Sites have established a regular communication mechanism with local government representatives and Zhangwu Community, holding periodic coordination meetings to gather and understand residents’ feedback and needs. Through this ongoing dialogue, the company has gained deeper insight into community priorities and developed a variety of meaningful activities tailored to different groups within the community.

With the enthusiastic participation of employee volunteers, a series of community programs has been implemented, including senior care visits during the Double Ninth Festival, home appliance cleaning and household safety inspections, parent-child educational experiences, floral arrangement and parenting workshops, family sports activities, and eco-friendly DIY handicraft sessions. These initiatives have enriched community life, encouraged intergenerational interaction, and fostered a supportive and connected community environment.

 

Investing in Community Infrastructure for a More Inclusive Living Environment

Beyond community care programs, Wistron has also contributed tangible resources to improve local infrastructure. Through charitable donations, the South China Sites supported the construction of a neighborhood park within Zhangwu Community. The park was designed with green landscaping, family-friendly recreational spaces, accessible facilities, and nighttime safety lighting, creating a welcoming public space where residents can gather, interact, and enjoy a safer and more inclusive environment.
Moving forward, Wistron will continue to collaborate with local government and community representatives through a dedicated project team. By maintaining open communication and establishing long-term maintenance mechanisms, the company aims to ensure that community facilities continue delivering value while fostering a culture of sustainability and inclusion in everyday community life.



 

Measuring Impact Through Meaningful Results

Between 2024 and 2025, the “Together with Care” project organized 15 community events in Zhangwu Community, benefiting more than 700 residents and engaging over 300 employee volunteers. Participants came from diverse functions, including frontline operations, IT, facilities management, FAE teams, and employee clubs.
The initiative has also received overwhelmingly positive feedback, achieving an average satisfaction score of over 4.95 out of 5 for two consecutive years—demonstrating strong community recognition and appreciation for the program’s impact.

“Together with Care” is more than a community project—it is a long-term partnership built on trust, collaboration, and shared growth. Looking ahead, Wistron will continue working alongside local government partners and Zhangwu Community to support resilient and people-centered community development.
