News

As a world-renowned manufacturer and service provider of computer and ICT products, Wistron, together with 110 other companies in emerging markets around the world, was recognized as the benchmark for sustainability in emerging markets and selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index (DJSI) for the first time.

Launched in 1999, the DJSI were the first global indices to track the financial performance of leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide. The selected companies must be identified by the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), an integrated assessment of governance and economic, environmental, and social criteria with a strong focus on long-term shareholder value.

Wistron has been adhering to the business philosophy of "altruism" as the blueprint for corporate sustainable development. Under the vision of "Sustainability Through Innovation," Wistron has gradually realized concepts such as low-carbon manufacturing and circular economy in our value chain, and has adopted six strategies: sustainable supply base, green product, recycling, decarbonization, people with purpose, and labor welfare to fulfill the mission of “Trusted Innovation Partner for Technology, Sustainability and Better Lives.” We actively respond to the sustainable issues and challenges for our society.

Adhering to the company’s vision, Wistron will continue to cooperate with various partners, exert sustainable influence, and lead the value chain to create a sustainable future for all.

ABOUT S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)
The DJSI World applies a transparent, rules-based constituent selection process based on the companies’ S&P Global ESG Score resulting from the annual S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). The CSA consists of a rigorous questionnaire assessing both public and non-public data submitted by participating companies. This year, more than 10,000 publicly traded companies were invited to participate in the S&P Global CSA, among which 790 companies were invited by the Dow Jones Sustainable Emerging Market Index.
